Old 27 Motor Tour 2026 - End of the Road Celebration

Cheboygan is the 'End of the Road' for the iconic Michigan Old U.S. 27 Motor Tour. Classic cars and cruisers travel the historic route from Coldwater to Cheboygan. The End of the Road Celebration features great food, awards, camaraderie, and hundreds of beautiful classic vehicles. Held at the Cheboygan Eagles (FOE), followed by a farewell breakfast Sunday morning.

Inland Waterway Expedition

Full-day 12-hour cruise from Cheboygan down the Cheboygan River, across Mullett Lake, through the Indian River, and out to Burt Lake and back. Includes lock navigation, swim breaks, ice cream stop in Topinabee, and dinner stop at The Inn Between Restaurant in Indian River. BYO food and drinks. Minimum and maximum 20 guests.

Community Hike: Holiday Hike

Guided holiday hike at May Woods. Enjoy nature's winter show — bring hiking boots, gloves, and maybe a Santa hat. No experience necessary. Guide to be announced. Free and open to all ages.

Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tour

Glass bottom boat tours over sunken shipwrecks on Lake Huron, including historical storytelling, lighthouse views, and travel under the Cheboygan River drawbridge. Suitable for all ages.

BINGO Trail at May Woods

Family-friendly half-mile loop trail with complimentary BINGO cards available at the Nature Center. Kids and adult cards feature local wildlife and plants. Summer participants who complete a BINGO can win prizes.

Bird Watching at May Woods

Four-season birding experience across 100 acres of protected forest with 3.5+ miles of trails. Observe resident and migratory birds including warblers, raptors, woodpeckers, and more. Free admission.

Black Mountain Scramble Area

ATV/off-road riding at the Black Mountain Scramble Area in Cheboygan County.

Black Mountain Trail System

A vast network of marked trails in the Black Mountain Recreation Area near Cheboygan. Over 30 miles for hiking, 60 miles for ORV/ATV, and 80 groomed miles for snowmobiling, plus a 65-acre Scramble Area. Also suitable for horseback riding, hunting, fishing, camping, and skiing.
