About
An 11.4-mile (and growing) non-motorized multi-use trail connecting communities in Cheboygan and Emmet Counties around the north end of Burt Lake. Open to walkers, runners, bikers, equestrians, cross-country skiers, and snowshoers. No fees charged. Trail surfaces include crushed limestone (Phase I), paved asphalt (Phases II & III), and 5-foot paved road shoulders (Phases IV & V). Trailhead located at the south end of Mundt Rd. Planned to eventually connect the North Central State Trail in Topinabee and the North Western State Trail in Brutus for a 67-mile loop.
